In 2018 I participated in a hackathon where teams partnered with non-profits to use technology to solve a problem. My team (one co-worker and I) worked with a woodlands committee in Northern New Jersey. We created an iOS app that allowed residents to easily mark and share the location of a tree that needed attention, whether it was dead, diseased, or downed.
We used the opportunity of creating the app to gain experience with both unidirectional data flow and with code based views and layouts using SnapKit.
The app is available on the Apple App Store.
